Susan Gibson has served as a consultant, entrepreneur, senior leader, and executive specializing in Organizational Behavior and Development, Learning and Development, and Human Resources for 25+ years.
As president and principal of The Gibson Group, Susan has consulted nationally and internationally with 350+ organizations regarding leadership and management development, organizational climate, organizational behavior, employee engagement, customer service assessment and performance management issues. Her career includes senior Human Resources leadership roles with Fortune 500 corporations Starbucks and Nordstrom, executive team membership with a non-profit association supporting the people development needs of 1,200+ employers in the State of Washington, and service as Executive-in-Residence for Seattle University’s Albers School of Business and Economics.
Susan began her career as a tenured instructor at Bellevue College where she received the National Endowment for the Humanities Outstanding Educator Award and the American Association of Women in the Commmunity and Junior Colleges Leadership Award. More recently, she has taught graduate courses in Management of People, Management of Diversity, and Management of Change for Seattle University and undergraduate courses in Business, Government and Society for the University of Washington/Foster School of Business. She will be teaching undergraduate courses in Organizational Behavior for the university of Washington/Bothell at the Eastside Leadership Center.
Susan received her MA in English with a specialization in community college teaching and BA in English from Western Washington University.
