Ernest L. Hughes
Dr. Ernest Hughes is the founder and CEO of Logistikos, a fourth party logistics provider (4PL) specializing in supply chain management consulting and education.
Prior to launching Logistikos, Dr. Hughes enjoyed broad leadership responsibility in a range of organizations for more than 30 years. He was most recently Director of Technical Services for Recreational Equipment, Incorporated (REI). Before joining REI, Hughes was co-founder and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Cascadia Community College, after a fifteen-year technology career with Boeing in a range of systems-related management positions.
Hughes earned a Master of Science (MS) in Global Supply Chain Management from the University of Alaska, Anchorage; a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and a Masters in Software Engineering (MSE) from Seattle University, and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from California State University, Bakersfield.
He is an Associate Professor in Transportation and Logistics with the American Public University System, an Adjunct Professor in Information Systems Management with Seattle Pacific University, and an Adjunct Professor in Business with City University of Seattle, Argosy University and the University of Washington Bothell. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in transportation and logistics, leadership and organizational behavior, operations and information systems management.
Dr. Hughes is also certified by the American Society of Quality as a Quality Manager / Organizational Excellence.
