Emerging Leaders Program
In Partnership with Impact Washington
Emerging Leaders Program Overview
The University of Washington Bothell School of Business Executive Education Office is pleased to partner with Impact Washington to offer a comprehensive leadership skills development program for emerging leaders. It will incorporate the latest research and models for leadership success.
Topics covered include leading people and teams, problem-solving and decision-making and processes, project management, operations, marketing, strategy, planning, finance, conflict management, negotiating skills, motivation and empowerment, power and influence, organizational change, managing people and performance, succession planning, leading inclusive organizations, leadership presence/presenting and business ethics.
Teams work together to analyze and solve a cross-functional organizational issue providing a forum for practical application of skills learned and then make their pitch to leaders within their organizations who are invited to the last day of the program. Between sessions, students will complete assignments to prepare for class sessions and apply practical skills learned in the workplace. Participants also take a variety of self-assessments to learn about their own individual leadership styles and preferences.
This program is designed for emerging leaders who have recently moved into a leadership role, managers seeking higher-level roles within an organization, and hi-potential talent expected to move into leadership roles. Teams work together to analyze and solve a cross-functional organizational issue providing a forum for practical application of skills and allowing for a group of individuals from one organization to provide real-world solutions and recommendations that can positively impact their sponsoring organization.
This program will be held on campus at the University of Washington Bothell facilities which are conveniently located at the epicenter of Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond and Everett. There are hotels at reasonable cost for participants in Bothell for those traveling from out of the surrounding areas.
Participants who attend all sessions and successfully complete the requirements for the program, will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the University of Washington Bothell.
