Clicking the Kentico logo on the very top left of the purple bar navigation opens the Applications menu. Here you can switch between checked-out items, forms, media libraries, pages, and the recycle bin. These options may vary depending on the level of access granted.
"Pages" user interface
The user interface consists of several main sections depicted in the illustration below.
Edit & view mode
Allows you to choose between various ways to view your webpage.
- To make edits to a document, you must be in Edit view mode.
- To preview the edits you've made to a document with style scripts put in place to see what your page would look like published.
- Displays the child documents of the current page in a list.
Document actions are located here; you can create, delete, edit, copy, move, or search.
Displays the structure of your web site, documents you have access to, and allows you to organize documents/pages.
Note: All names are lower case, concise, and separate words connect with a hyphen. They form the URL used to access the web page.
Page editing mode
Where you can choose the way you want to edit the content of the page. You can choose from editing page content, document fields or document properties.
Below the tabs are options to save changes made in editing mode, undo all changes with undo checkout, check in, publish, and spell check.
The toolbar is available in "edit mode" and provides all of the capabilities to format and add content to the page that you are working on. There are options for text formatting, adding links and images, widgets, calendars, forms, and more.
