Shari L. Dworkin has been named dean of the School of Nursing & Health Studies. Dworkin comes from the University of California San Francisco where she was a professor and associate dean for academic affairs. She starts Aug. 15.

Miguel Macias has been named as the first director of the new diversity center. The center coordinates student diversity, equity and inclusion efforts across campus. Macias was most recently at Loyola University in Chicago; he begins work Aug. 7.

Two electrical engineering students, Daniel Schossow and Manuja Sharma, were honored at a recent meeting of the Microwave Theory and Techniques Society.
