Admission Requirements

Admission to the Computing & Software Systems is competitive. Current UW Bothell Premajors must complete all the prerequisites listed below to be considered eligible for admission.

A minimum grade of 2.0 is required in the following courses (UWB Courses):

  • CSS 107: Introduction to Programming through Animated Storytelling
  • CSS 161: Fundamentals of Computing
  • CSSSKL 161: Fundamental Programming Skills
  • CSS 162: Programming Methodology
  • CSSSKL 162: Programming Methodology Skills
  • STMath 124: Calculus I
  • Statistics: STMath 390, BIS 315, or BBus 215.
  • English Composition: BCUSP 101 or 134
  • Advanced English Composition: BCusp 135

* 2.0 is the minimum GPA required to recieve credit for the course, but is not considered competitive.  For more information regarding admission to the program please see CUSP or a CSS Advisor.

Suggested additional coursework (does not affect the admission decision): Calculus 2 and Linear Algebra.
