Computing and Software Systems ’09
Allan contributes important research to the field of neurobiology because of his education at UW Bothell. In his undergraduate studies, Allan worked side by side with Dr. Michael Stiber to rewrite a computer simulator to better understand the cerebral cortex. This new simulator is 20 times faster than the old one, and is pioneering an investigation into abnormal behavior in brain cells.
After graduating with his bachelors from UW Bothell, he was one of the first to enroll in the new Masters of Science in Computing and Software Systems (MSCSS) degree at UW Bothell. Allan is still working on his research in nervous system operation and neuron behavior.
