Education alums Brenda Larson (MEd '04), Jeff Booth (MEd '01), Nikko Linn (Liberal Studies '99, T-Cert. '01, MEd '06) and Vicky North (T-Cert. '02) served on the Education Program's 15th Anniversary Steering Committee, which delivered a fantastic event featuring a wonderful celebration and alumni reunion.

Leslie Irving (BSN '93, MN '04) and husband Steve bought Glenacres Inn in Westport, Wash. last spring and are adopting a 2 year-old boy from Vietnam. Leslie is the Breast Cancer Speciality Nurse at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

Geneva Winter Tezenov (BSN '99) holds a 4.0 GPA in Florida Atlantic University's Family Nurse Practitioner Program and will graduate in one semester.

Nancy McAfee (BSN '03, MN '05) was named the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year in the category of Mentoring. ... Jason Orr (Business '03) is the Assistant Manager at REI's Redmond store and was recently featured in an article in the UW Daily on how to find success with some of Seattle's top companies. ... Stephen Ssemaala (IAS-GST '03) went on to UW Law School and received his degree in 2006. Stephen is currently an attorney for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.

Melinda Drogseth (IAS-GST '04) is a 3L (year) law student at Seattle University and is currently in a competitive internship for the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. ... Deborah Kelly (MN '04) is the Administrative Director for Clinical Education at Virginia Mason Medical Center. ... Grace Martinez (IAS '04) recently completed her MBA from the University of Phoenix and continues to operate the successful pet sitting company, 2 Dogs and a Cat. ... Miko Robertson (MAPS '04) is now the Program Manager at Harborview Medical Center's education/ research department for Allergy and Infectious Diseases. She will be overseeing the budget and daily operations for pre-doc and post-doc research training positions. ... In September Karen Tellevik Story (Business '04) presented at the national Healthcare Internal Auditors conference in San Diego on Sarbanes-Oxley implementations at non-profit healthcare organizations. She also recently became a Certified Internal Auditor. ... Jenelle Van Eynde (IAS '04, MAPS '05) accepted a position with an African IT company, SocketWorks Global. She is the Executive Assistant to the Group President/CEO of Socketworks Global, Ghana.

Kristi Cruz (IAS-SEB '05) is a 3L (year) student at Seattle University and will graduate in December of 2008. Kristi is pursuing a career in Public Interest Law. She is currently involved in an externship at the Northwest Justice Project which is working on the Washington State Coalition for Language Access. ... Andi Smith (MAPS '05) has taken the position as Research Analyst for the House Higher Education Committee. Her primary responsibility will be to provide individual members and committees with policy research and analysis, including bill and amendment drafting.

Dani Burhop (MAPS '06) has accepted a position as the new Research Associate at Elway Research in Seattle. She will be working on communications research and data analysis, and on projects related to government accountability. ... Joel Ennis (Business '06) is a Premier Sales Executive with Expedia Corporate Travel. Joel works with companies to help them automate and centralize their travel booking to more easily track and control one of their largest expenses. He was also recently named one of their top performers for 2007. He lives in Newcastle with his wife Sarah and their two bulldogs, Gracie and Willy. ... Ernest Kandilege (IAS-GST '06) originally came to UW Bothell from Ghana and since graduation has been working for Genie Industries as a Human Resources Coordinator. ...
