Insight: Autumn 2007

Autumn 2007

A Letter from the Alumni Council Chair

Jeremy Reichelt

As this year's UW Bothell Alumni Council Chair, I'd like to welcome the Class of 2007 to the alumni family. You are now part of an active alumni community of over 7,200 UW Bothell graduates. You left an indelible mark on the campus as students through academics, activities and philanthropy - helping kick off the UW Bothell Alumni Scholarship with your generous support of the Senior Class Gift Campaign and the annual 5K Run and Pancake Breakfast.  Over $5,000 was raised in support of this new scholarship providing a benchmark for future classes. Congrats Class of 2007!

In addition to stewarding this new scholarship, another of the many initiatives of the Alumni Council this year is to revive the Distinguished Alumni Award to recognize UW Bothell graduates who have excelled in their professions or community since graduating.  Visit the UW Bothell Alumni Web site for details on how you can make a nomination.

The Alumni Council is also hard at work identifying ways to better keep you informed of the many benefits and opportunities available to our grads.  From Career Services and the HuskyConnect online community to special UW Bothell events and discounted group ticket opportunities, plus many more!  Stay tuned!

And finally, as we enter autumn, I encourage you to join your fellow alums at several great upcoming activities.  One of my particular favorites is the group outing with UW Bothell students to the Husky football game vs. Oregon on Oct. 20.  (Click here for more info.)

See you soon ... and GO HUSKIES!
