To which quarters can I apply?
International freshman are admitted autumn (September), winter (January), and spring (March) quarters, and international transfer students are admitted for all quarters (autumn, winter, spring, summer*). *Note: summer admission depends on the major or academic program.
What does the UW Bothell diploma say?
When you graduate from the University of Washington Bothell, the top of the diploma says "The University of Washington".
What is the TOEFL and IELTS requirement to fulfill the English proficiency requirement?

Am I eligible for financial aid?
International students are not eligible for financial aid but some scholarships may be available. F-1 students may apply for on-campus jobs and work up to 19.5 hours a week.
When will I receive my I-20?
Students who are directly admitted to the University of Washington Bothell or A-IEP will receive their I-20 after submitting the I-20 Request Form.
Students who will start at the UW Seattle Campus Intensive English Program (C-IEP) will receive their I-20 from C-IEP. Students who complete the C-IEP and will transfer to UW Bothell will receive a new I-20 from our University after the I-20 is transferred to UW Bothell.
Does UW Bothell have on-campus housing?

How many credits do I need to take each quarter?
All undergraduate international students must remain in full-time academic status (minimum of 12-credits per quarter).

What do the terms freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior mean?
A freshman is a student just starting university-level studies for the first time. Generally a sophomore is a 2nd year student, a junior is a 3rd year student, and a senior is a 4th or last year student. American high school use the same terms, but for grades 9-12. For more information click here.
The UW Bothell application is due before I finish my coursework. What do I do?
Please list the courses you are currently taking in the online application. When you complete the classes you are currently taking you will need to submit another official transcript showing the grades you received in those classes. It is important that you continue to perform well in those classes as the University of Washington Bothell reserves the right to rescind an offer of admission based on your performance in those classes.
A Math Assessment was included as part of your Welcome Packet (If you need another copy, you may pick one up from the CUSP Office in UW2 030). How do I know which application I should use?
• Freshman: An applicant who has not attended a university or college. The applicant has attended and/or completed his or her secondary-level education (equivalent to completing high school in the United States).
• Transfer: An applicant who has attended university or any other tertiary-level studies.
• Graduate and Post-baccalaureate: An applicant who has earned the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited or recognized university or college.
• Non-matriculated: An applicant who is not seeking a degree.
How can I pay the application fee?
You can pay by credit card online after you submit the online application. If you are unable to pay online, please contact email@example.com for other instructions on paying the application fee.
What type of housing is available for international students?

When can I expect a notice of admission?
Admission decisions for international applicants take approximately 3-4 weeks.
What kind of financial documents must I send?
An I-20 cannot be issued until we receive proof of finances. Most commonly international students submit bank statements showing they have sufficient funds to cover the estimated total cost of expected educational and living expenses. All financial documents must show a numerical amount of funds available for educational purposes.

How can I check the status of my application?
Upon submission of a complete application, a letter will be mailed to you with information to create a MyUW account. After you create a MyUW account you will be able to check the status of your application online.
How do I secure my admission at the University of Washington Bothell?
To secure your place at the University of Washington Bothell please return the confirmation form along with the US$100 deposit. You will receive this form with your admission packet. This deposit will apply toward the first quarter’s tuition.
What is the difference between “Early Admissions Decision” and “Priority Application Dates”?
Applicants who apply by the Early Admissions Decision date will receive their admissions decision earlier than applicants who apply by the Priority Date.
