Accelerated Intensive English Program (A-IEP) Admissions

Finish your English language requirement in just one academic quarter (3 months) instead of two (6 months) on the UW Bothell campus with the Accelerated Intensive English Program, A-IEP. Upon successful completion of A-IEP, begin your university-level studies the next academic quarter.

A-IEP is a 10-week highly intensive English Program offered jointly by University of Washington Bothell and University of Washington International & English Language Programs (IELP), part of UW Professional and Continuing Education. All classes are held on the UW Bothell campus and meet for five hours per day, Monday—Friday. A-IEP offers qualified international students:

  • 200 hours of coursework in Advanced Reading, Writing Listening, Speaking and Advanced Grammar
  • 50 hours of coursework in Advanced Academic Skills
  • A catered Welcome and Closing Ceremony

A-IEP Admission Requirements:

 

 

Conditional admission to UW Bothell and
One of the following:
  • IBT TOEFL of 76 (no sub-score below 18) or
  • IELTS of 6.0 (no sub-score below 5.5) or
  • Successful completion of C-IEP Level 4 at UW Seattle.

Important Notes

  • Once you are accepted to A-IEP, the advisors will assist you in getting a student visa and providing you with the I-20 form that you will need to apply for an F-1 visa.
  • UW Bothell will move the start date for a conditionally accepted student one time. If a student needs the start date changed a second time, the student will be required to file a petition.
