Favorite College Experience: Camping out with the Dawg Pack in 2004 before the UW vs. Stanford basketball game. It was the first official camp-out the school ever had and my group of friends were at the front of the line. Coach Lorenzo Romar came out that evening to meet us all, we ‘broke’ into Hec Ed and played pick-up with Zane Potter (one of the players at the time) and the Huskies ending up winning the game. To this day, it is still one of the most important games in Husky history, beating an undefeated Stanford team and propelling the Huskies to a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament.

Favorite WA Activity: Hiking, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), Mariners games, Husky football, kayaking, hanging out with my family, and walks with our dog, Dug.

Main Attraction at UW Bothell: Engaged and caring faculty that have chosen UW Bothell specifically to teach and support students. Each time I talk with a faculty member, from any major, I am continually inspired by the work they do and their overwhelming support of students.

Advice for Transfer Students: Remember, as a transfer student, you bring an abundance of experiences to the classroom that you should be proud of. Use that experience in the classroom to engage and learn with and from your professors and classmates. Your academic and personal experiences make you who you are and enrich the learning community wherever you are, especially at UW Bothell!

Fun Fact: Costco is one of my favorite places and we try to visit different Costcos when we’re traveling. They all have different items in their food courts!
