Favorite Book(s): “Man’s Search for Happiness,” “Into Thin Air,” “The Tipping Point,” “Born to Run,” “The Giving Tree”

Favorite Sports Team: We are a house divided with two of my kids at WSU and one at UW; I plead the 5th on this question!!

Favorite College Experience:  I transferred to UC Irvine from community college as a re-entry single parent, so my undergraduate experience was non-traditional, but amazing nonetheless! I loved getting involved in undergraduate research, and was really lucky to have the opportunity to be part of several research labs and also to do my own study with a faculty mentor for my honors thesis.

Favorite WA Activity: Hiking all the wonderful mountain trails (someday I will climb Mt. Rainier!)

Main Attraction at UW Bothell: UW Bothell has the intimacy of a small liberal arts college with the opportunities of a major public research university – truly the best of both worlds!
