Chancellor Bjong Wolf Yeigh
Bjong Wolf Yeigh, Ph.D., was named Chancellor of the University of Washington Bothell in May 2013.
Before joining UW Bothell, Yeigh was professor and president of SUNYIT, the State University of New York Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome. During his tenure at SUNYIT, he secured $15.5 million in capital grants for cybersecurity and nanotechnology programs and led the effort to gain two rounds of funding for regional economic development projects totaling $119.9 million. Overseeing the largest expansion of the campus to date, Yeigh guided the building of more than $100 million in capital projects.
Yeigh previously held the position of vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont, where he was also a tenured professor. Prior to Norwich University, Yeigh served as engineering dean at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, assistant provost for science and technology at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Susan Jeffords, Ph.D.
Vice Chancellor for
Susan Jeffords joined the University of Washington Bothell in September of 2007 as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Previously she held the position of Vice Provost for Global Affairs for University of Washington Seattle. Jeffords served as a faculty member of the English Department before becoming Chair of the Women Studies Department in 1992.

Ana Karaman, Ph.D.
Vice Chancellor for Administration and Planning
Ana Karaman joined the University of Washington Bothell in May 2014 as the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Planning. Karaman manages a $60 million annual budget and develop strategic long-range financial plans for the campus. Karaman also directs facilities planning. Karaman holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she also earned a master of science degree in criminal justice.

Richard Penny, Ph.D.
Vice Chancellor for Advancement and External Relations
Richard Penny joined the University of Washington Bothell in June 2008 as Vice Chancellor for Advancement and External Relations. He has announced plans to retire, effective Jaunary 2016. A search is underway for his successor. Penny brings more than fifteen years of experience in advancement at the director level with additional background in marketing and government affairs.
