Tools for Teaching is a rich compendium of classroom-tested strategies and suggestions designed to improve the teaching practice of beginning, mid-career and senior faculty.

Lowman, J. (1995). Mastering the Techniques of Teaching (2nd ed.). San Francisco: Jossey-Bass.
Joseph Lowman is a professor of psychology at the University of North Carolina. His book presents solid practical guidance for both the new and experienced university teacher, based on illuminating analyses of student behaviors and responses.

McKeachie, W. J. (1994). Teaching Tips. Lexington, MA: D.C. Heath and Company.
This highly acclaimed book for college and university teachers emphasizes practical teaching strategies, accompanied by a discussion of relevant research and theory.

This book provides solid theoretical information on educational psychology, overviews different instructional techniques and presents practical information on teaching particular disciplines.
