The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs has responsibility for ensuring that the University of Washington Bothell is able to attract and retain an internationally competitive faculty and academic staff so that UWB can accomplish the goals of the 21st Century Campus Initiative.
The role of UWB Academic Human Resources is to recruit and retain outstanding, internationally competitive faculty, to promote equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, non-discrimination, and inclusion in the appointment and advancement of faculty, and to provide strategic expert advice, information, and data collection.
Additionally, Academic Human Resources provides support to schools and programs when considering issues of onboarding new faculty, ongoing faculty development, merit review, reappointment, promotion and tenure, and sabbaticals.
